reason why your “diet plan” failed you and how shame and deprivation SABOTAGE your weight-loss goals
Hi my name is Dina: As a wellness activator, holistic expert, and empowerment coach fitness has been a part of my life since I was in her early twenties. I competed in numerous fitness competitions including Fitness American, Ms. Bikini America, and countless other figure competitions.
» I was featured in Oxygen Magazine’s “Future of Fitness” and I know what it’s like to feel confident, healthy, and rock a bikini in front of hundreds of people, but I am no stranger to the struggles…at one point I had health issues, mentally and physically. After my mom died from cancer, I turned to clean eating and exercise to combat the struggles with emotional eating and regained power over my life. I lost the extra weight, got my digestion back on track, and finally had a restful sleep.
» Now I am eager to help you do the same! As a health coach, life coach and a certified personal trainer, I am helping other women to feel empowered and unlock their full potential to live their healthiest life. I want to share my passion for health passion for health “goodbye” to crazy diets and “Hello” to a strong, sassy, and sexy super confident you!

» You have tried everything and now you never want to do another “diet” again. And I don’t blame you. Today I am going to share my top 3 reasons why diet failed you and it really has nothing to do with your food.
» #1 is… Hiding: because you may have failed to stick to your diet plan you now are trying to do it in secret so you don’t look and feel foolish. You are ashamed of what happened in the past. You get invited to go out with your girlfriend and you make up an excuse that you don’t feel well. Because you know if you do go you will simple fall off the wagon. You deprive yourself from living life. And this is simply will never be sustainable.
Solutions:
» Stop hiding, make a commitment, engage those around you. Write down your goals. Commit. Follow the workbook I provided on how to set your goals. Do not deprive yourself from social live but instead do interact, do go out with your friends but be mindful. If you are going out to eat pick a place where there are healthier options and remember that most restaurant portions are way bigger than you need them to be. Customize your order, don’t be afraid to ask for what you deserve and pay for. Keep in mind that the main purpose of being out is to socialize and converse it’s not about “food”. Enjoy our time together and focus on connections instead of your plate.
» #2 is…. Lack of support. You are doing it alone. Your family members are not there to encourage you, instead they are tempting you with all kinds of treats and eat candy, chips and ice cream right in front of you at 9 PM. You didn’t even ask for support. You have no one to share your goals with and you simply may not even know what to do when things get rough.
Solutions:
» Set clear goals and write them down. Share your goals with at least 1 person that can hold you accountable. Ask your family to join you on your health journey. Remove all possible temptations at home, if you are unable to completely remove them place them away from your eyesight (it helps not to see it). Join an accountability group and stay committed to post daily no matter how rough things get. Review your goals weekly.
» #3 is… you gave up too soon. This is so so very important. You began your healthy journey and you got invited to a birthday party. Everyone is indulging in pizza, cookies and cake…and you sit there having this dialogue.
“Well, if I just have 1 cookie, it’s not going to hurt me. I mean… I have been so good. I went to the gym 5 times this week. I stayed away from junk, drank all my water and ate veggies at each meal. What is one cooking going to do to me?”
You reach for that one cookie and you eat it. Then you hear this…” well this cookies is small if i have another one it won’t hurt me. I am at the party and I don’t want to look weird not eating sweets”.
You reach for another cookie. You eat it and then something switches, and you simply no longer are able to talk yourself out of it. You begin eating cookies, cakes and brownies, and everything else that you haven’t had in the last 3 weeks…. You get overwhelmed and just say “oh well I screw this up already so why hold back”
Then the guilt and shame takes over and you start stress eating… at the end of the day you feel like a failure and you say “i can’t do this, i tried, i have no will power, I am a loser, I am unable to control my urges…” and at this point you simply GIVE UP on the choice you made just a few weeks ago (to live a healthier lifestyle). You give up…. before you even got a chance to make the habit stick. This is actually the #1 REASON why the diet plan failed you, but it has nothing to do with food, it’s the mindset.
